Library story times
Story time is the easiest plan we have. We show up, sit on the floor, and let the librarian carry the half hour. These are King County Library branches in our Eastside cities, and the sessions I have checked are stories, songs, and a little moving around. A grown-up stays with the child. The hour changes, so check the branch before you go.
Bellevue Library
1111 110th Ave NE, Bellevue, WA 98004
The downtown branch. Story time is stories, songs, and a short stretch of play on the floor. A grown-up stays in the room.
Newport Way Library
14250 SE Newport Way, Bellevue, WA 98006
A smaller Bellevue branch set back from Newport Way. The story times here are songs and stories, and the caregiver stays with the child.
Bothell Library
18215 98th Ave NE, Bothell, WA 98011
The branch on 98th. Story time is the usual mix of stories, music, and moving around, with an adult on the floor too.
Issaquah Library
10 W Sunset Way, Issaquah, WA 98027
Downtown Issaquah, at Sunset Way. Morning story times here are stories and songs for little kids, and a grown-up comes in with them.
Kirkland Library
308 Kirkland Ave, Kirkland, WA 98033
The downtown Kirkland branch. Story time is stories, rhymes, and a little dancing. Some evenings are pajama story time. An adult stays.
Mercer Island Library

The island branch. Family story time here is stories and songs for a wide span of little kids, and the grown-up sits with them.
Redmond Library

The branch on 85th. Toddler story time is stories, music, and play afterward. A lap-sit hour for babies is a separate session. Bring the adult either way.
Renton Library
100 Mill Ave S, Renton, WA 98057
The library over the Cedar River. Story time includes Spanish, plus toddler and baby sessions. Songs, a story, and a grown-up in the room.
Renton Highlands Library
2801 NE 10th St, Renton, WA 98056
The Highlands branch. Story time here includes Vietnamese. The shape is the same: a short program, then a little play, with a caregiver.
Fairwood Library

The Fairwood branch in south Renton. Story time includes an ASL session. A grown-up stays with the child.
Snoqualmie Library

The branch in Snoqualmie Ridge. Toddler and family story times here are stories, music, and a short play time. A grown-up stays for the whole thing.
