The festival and the market overlap from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. They are not within walking distance of a stroller loop. One caregiver can take older kids to the books and another can do the market, or you can do the market at 9:00 and reach the festival late.
Bigfoot Kids’ Book Festival

Fourth annual, free, indoors. No tickets and no advance registration. Author read-alouds and activities are free. Brick & Mortar Books, the host shop, lists book signings, panels, and activities with children’s authors and illustrators. The festival FAQ says it covers board books through young adult, and that you may bring books you already own. Disabled parking is at the center.
The date, hours, and address are on the bookstore’s festival page. The FAQ confirms the building, the free admission, and that it is all ages.

Harvest Festival

Ages 2 and up. An all-access pass covers pressed apple cider, tractor wagon rides, butter making with a biscuit, a forest scavenger hunt, farm animals, music, photo spots, and a spooky potion station. Children 12 and under also get a pony ride and a pumpkin. The morning session is 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. and the afternoon session is 1:00–3:00 p.m.
Redmond Howl-O-Ween Pup Parade
Check-in at The Archer Hotel Redmond, then Redmond Town Center
OneRedmond’s second pup parade. Check-in is at noon at The Archer Hotel, with snacks. The parade through Redmond Town Center is at 1:00 p.m., with prizes for best dog costume, best duo, and best in show. From 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. the party moves to Hilton Garden Inn Seattle Redmond, with snacks for people and dogs and adoptable pups from Motley Zoo. The page says registration is coming soon, and that entry is free for overnight guests at participating Redmond hotels. The harvest festival at Farrel-McWhirter runs until 3:00 p.m., so the parade and the farm overlap.
Digital SAT Practice Test and Score Review

Free practice test for grades 9–12, then a look at which question types cost the most points. Bring a charged laptop or tablet and a charger. A few devices are available. This is not an officially proctored exam. Register for the library session to attend in person, or for the online session to attend virtually.

Spooky Spectacular

All ages. Come in costume for a photo booth, face painting, crafts, pumpkin decorating, and mini games. Bring your own pumpkin. The center supplies the decorating materials and there is no carving. Hot dogs, veggie dogs, chips, candy, and drinks are part of the evening.
Day of the Dead

All ages. A joyful visit with loved ones who have died, with crafts, music, food, and a short look at the tradition.
Redmond Lights
Downtown Park, 16101 Redmond Way
A Redmond Lights kickoff for families at Downtown Park, with free crafts, light art, music, and snowfall. The night also has a luminary trail, a family lights promenade, and a kids light fashion show. Light art in the park continues through Jan 4.
