Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom
North Bend Theatre, 125 Bendigo Blvd N
A PG animated film, about an hour and a half. On Halloween Eve at Mossy Bottom, the Farmer wrecks the pumpkin patch and Shaun’s fix goes sideways when a beast shows up in the woods. Doors open 30 minutes before the show. Tickets are $8 to $10.

North Bend Depot, 205 E McClellan Street
The Northwest Railway Museum boards this fall ride at the North Bend Depot, behind the Shell station, and also at the Snoqualmie Depot. The trip is just under two hours, with a stop for cider, apple pressing, crafts, and music. Costumes are welcome. Ages 2 and up need a ticket. North Bend departures start at 10:30 a.m. and leave every two hours. Arrive about 30 minutes early.
Oaktoberfest and Arbor Day planting

Meadowbrook Farm Interpretive Center
Oaktoberfest is free and independently organized, not a city festival. It includes children’s activities, native plant sales, and booths about local trees. A tree tour starts at 1:00 p.m. Children under 13 need an adult.

Casual chess with teacher Lance. All levels. Boards are provided, and the Friends of the library bring snacks.
Great Si View Spooktacular

Si View Community Center, 400 SE Orchard Drive
Si View Metro Parks brings back a haunted house marked PG, plus games, pumpkin decorating, a costume contest, and face painting. It is aimed at preschool and elementary children with their families. Pick one session. Resident tickets are $18 and nonresident tickets are $21.60. Children under 2 are free and still need a registration. The downtown trick-or-treat starts when the second session ends.
Trick-or-Treat Street
The North Bend Downtown Foundation’s free afternoon for costumes on the downtown blocks. The foundation’s event list gives 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. and says the time can change, so check the page before you go.
All Ages Hoedown
Si View Community Center, 400 SE Orchard Drive
A family dance at Si View with instructor Amanda Johnson. The parks page describes it as western-themed dancing that works for beginners and for people who already know a few steps. All ages.
North Pole Limited Santa Train
North Bend Depot, 205 E McClellan St
A Santa train for families from the North Bend Depot, $39 for ages 2 and up, and no ticket under 2. The trip is about two hours and includes the ride, the Train Shed, a visit with Santa in the Chapel Car, a small gift, cookies, and a hot drink. It runs Nov 28–29, Dec 5–7, Dec 12–13, and Dec 19–20. Buy tickets ahead. Trains run rain or shine, and the museum does not refund tickets unless the train does not run.
