What to do on no-school days
A weekday off is a long one. A playground, a library, or a short stop at the farm will fill it.
District days are on No-school days.
When the weather holds, start with a playground. The playgrounds map has the standouts, with parking and restrooms called out on the park pages.
A library is the indoor default, and walking in is free. Bellevue Library and Kirkland Library both have children’s rooms. This week’s story times are on the city pages.
KidsQuest Children’s Museum at 1116 108th Ave NE is the indoor play stop in downtown Bellevue, next to the library. Check the museum site for hours and tickets. Bellevue Aquatic Center at 601 143rd Ave NE is the indoor pool if the kids want water. The city posts the day’s hours.
Bellevue Botanical Garden and Kelsey Creek Farm are short outdoor stops that do not depend on a school schedule. Kelsey Creek does not charge admission or parking.
Dated events for the week, indoor and out, stay on the city pages: Bellevue, Kirkland, Redmond, Issaquah, and the rest of the Eastside.
